Leading - His opinion? There could always be someone better for the job.
Dishonesty - don't lie to him or he will srsly fuck you up.
Inequity. As a knight, Balthazar fancies himself as a righter of wrongs...
STRENGTHS
He's loyaler than a retarded puppy. He's died for his King once, and would do so again.
Experience. Bal has seen many wars since first becoming a knight. He knows strategy, and war and how to fight.
WEAKNESSES
Ego. Balthazar can be a little too full of himself, and put just a little too much stock in his experience.
He can be a little...distractable. If the man sees something fun, he will want to indulge in it.

PERSONALITY
Balty is warm and good-natured. He loves to joke...at least until you piss him off. That is not to say, however, that he is sensitive to insults. Most of them are simply brushed off with a joke, or a laugh or rebutted with an oddly chipper rejoinder.
The man is also very charismatic. People seem drawn to him, for inexplicable reasons. It might be his smile, or his amicable nature or the fact that he's just plain likable...or something else completely. No matter what the reason, though, Balthazar is able to rally people to a cause and inspire their loyalty.
HISTORY
Balthazar's history is...messy.
The man was a knight in the court of a far off kingdom. He was the best knight, and the king's 2IC. His most trusted advisor. His closest...friend. The two men had been veritably joined at the hip since youth, and would do anything for each other. Thankfully, neither had to make the ultimate sacrifice through the many battles. And though the King had many obligations (marriage...producing an heir...serving his people) they were able to stay friends who were (perhaps a little too) close.
Until that day.
The darkness came and it was unlike any other threat that the kingdom had faced before. The heartless were voracious and insatiable. It really appeared that the entire world would be swallowed up by the darkness. But magic is a wonderful thing. After months of struggle, a spell was made, but it required a terrible sacrifice. A human life force.
Of course Balthazar was the first to put his hand up. And no matter how much the King protested, the knight would not step down.
Naturally things didn't go to plan. The world was broken, its inhabitants scattered. Balthazar was left in stasis in one of the remaining fragments that melded with the rest of dreamworld, waiting for someone or something to wake him up.
ANYTHING ELSE?
He only has one hand. His left hand was cut off as a trophy by an assassin. But they weren't a very good one...they really should have killed him first.
